Tuesday, APril 23, 2019: Students in morning classes reported to the gymnasium for AP exam pre-administration work. Afternoon classes briefly discussed the timed writing that will take place in class tomorrow.
Wednesday APril 24, 2019: Students completed a prose analysis timed essay task during class. As homework, students need to review the final four chapters of The Stranger as preparation for classwork tomorrow.
Thursday, APril 25, 2019: Students completed two surveys for the principal and counseling department. Students also met with their counselors for brief, individual visits. Students received copies of study questions for the final chapters of The Stranger. This work is due tomorrow.
Friday, APril 26, 2019: Students turned in their answers to study questions over the last four chapters of The Stranger and then completed a three-passage multiple-choice practice. There is no homework in AP Lit. this weekend.
Monday, APril 29, 2019: In class, the teacher presented final thoughts, reminders, and strategies for successfully responding to essay prompts over major works of literature. The class then reviewed The Stranger and Hamlet in terms of character and plot development and themes.
Tuesday, APril 30, 2019: In class, the teacher continued the discussion regarding major works and strategies for composing successful Q3 responses. The class reviewed Frankenstein and Jane Eyre in terms of character and plot development as well as themes. The class also discussed year-end matters (textbook return, semester exam, essay grades, etc.).
Wednesday, May 1, 2019: Students reviewed Q3 essay strategies and looked at a major work review for The Stranger. As homework, students are to read through the Awesome Packet.
Thursday, May 2, 2019: Students completed a four-passage multiple-choice practice in class. As homework, students are to read through the entire Awesome Packet.
Friday, May 3, 2019: Due to a shortened class schedule for Spring Fling, students spent time in class with final reminders before the exam. As homework, students are to read through the Awesome Packet, and begin following the schedule of study in the packet on Saturday.
Monday, May 6, 2019: Students who were in class were able to continue review of poetry and prose analysis steps as well as major works. As homework, students should read the assigned portions of the Awesome Packet.
Tuesday, May 7, 2019: Students who were in class were able to continue a final review with the teacher. Students should follow the awesome packet instructions for Tuesday.
Wednesday, May 8, 2019: AP English Literature & Composition Exam Day! Students in afternoon classes received semester exam information. Any students who will be taking the semester exam should prepare for that as homework.
Thursday, May 9, 2019: Semester Exam, day one.
Friday, May 10, 2019: Semester Exam, day two.
